Friday, May 16 Pender Harbour to Squirrel Cove 50 miles 4 1/2 hours
We had the worst sea conditions this morning that we have had this far. The sky is sunny but the wind is about 30 kts and we have 2 foot chop. Fred upped the RPM to 2200 and our speed to 15 kts to improve our point of sail. As we passed behind Texada Island the wind and seas calmed down. We entered Squirrel Cove anchorage at a low tide and the passage into the anchorage sure looks small. We were surprised to see only two other boats anchored here. The reversing rapids were lovely and sounded so soothing.
