Friday Harbor, San Juan Island

Here we are in beautiful, sunny Friday Harbor.  We arrived yesterday afternoon and anchored out.

We want to run all systems (generator, water maker, inverter, etc) before we head north.  So far everything is great.   We are sitting on the deck overlooking Friday Harbor at the The Doctor's Office, A Treatment Cafe for a latte and using their WiFi.

We talked with a couple people who live here.  The lady looked afraid of Merlin and said she was just bitten by a dog.  We encouraged her to see a doctor and report this dog.  Her husband was also chatting with another fellow here on the deck.  Apparently both were military pilots in the 60's.  Fred is jealous because they had a career that paid them to fly airplanes. 
We are now off the buy a 5 gallon gas can for fuel for the dinghy.  Ours is no longer on the boat.  Since we were missing 2 dock lines too, I'm thinking someone "borrowed" them off the boat.  Merlin kept watch as we neared Emerald Star at anchor,
